EBONG, Bassey Miracle

Miracle is inspired by the melody of the nursery rhyme Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, better known in France under the name À vous dire-je Maman. It is a song that I learned in school during my childhood in Nigeria and which was transmitted to us by the English colonies. 

This melody came to my mind at a difficult time in my life. I then transformed it into a song of hope, bringing light, to sing while waiting for better days. I then took it up during confinement to make a “voice – piano” version and then, at the request of Cepravoi, a version for choir.  It’s a song that has been with me for a long time and I’m happy to be able to pass it on now, like a benevolent torch.
